Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior QA Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and (STLC), expertise in Manual, automation and performance testing, and a proven track record in problem-solving and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement testing strategies, including setting rules and KPIs to improve team performance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks using Cypress and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
- Implement and manage API automation testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report findings.
- Continuously improve and optimize the automation process.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software.
- Report on testing progress, issues, and risks, providing clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software automation testing and 5+ years in QA Testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Cypress or any JavaScript framework.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience in leading QA teams and setting performance standards.
- Experience with Git and continuous integration tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines) is a must.
- Experience in software development (being a developer) is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a must.
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies is desirable.
- Experience working as a QA Consultant in a startup environment is a plus.
